An end to this existence gives us closure on a viewpoint that has assimilated experience based upon when, where and how we thought at the time.
Entropy allows us to move into another viewpoint, which in turn allows us to both understand our past in relationship to the new viewpoint and to experience similar events from a differing viewpoint.
I dont really need a 'from' and 'to', where did we come from or where do we go to is a very human reaction to life. Being in the moment requires no destination, experience becomes 'all' without a conclusion of the journey being relevant.
Of course we can be frightened of death, for in that fear can be the salvation of some people. The fear of death can spur the meek to action, or it can cause inertia to flee and bring about change.
As was said previously, all is illusion; the illusion of linear time, of single realities and of mortality. Yet it is necessary to the limited capabilities of a spirit-being-human; for our minds may still soar in the lofty clouds of inspiration but our physical bodies remain firm and constant in our connection to this world.
God did not create death, it created opportunity.
