A thought, just a thought...

Often, purely because of the nature of things, I end up in conversation with friends about 'magic'; 'what kind of spells do you use', they ask, 'does it work?'

It's interesting in that my study of the occult isn't really about collecting spells or potions, simply because I am fascinated by anything that is 'hidden'. Perhaps it's my Sun 12th House Taurus that does it :)

To me, all life is a magical act, every moment we live we are bringing into being our own reality with a gentle power that is still not understood by science. Indeed, many scientists within the field of quantum physics and mechanics are coming to a 'magical' view of existence. Their formulae extolling the necessity of humans existing in multiple dimensions at the same moment.

In these times of recession, in the lead up to the shift of one cycle to the next; we need to really understand that everything we do is magical and has an effect on the world at large. Crowley once intimated that a true act of magic is any thought that then becomes a reality, no matter how it is brought about. Because that link between thought and action is where magic happens!

If you 'want' something you must 'do' something, you must create within your world a vacuum that matches the need, as the Universe dislikes a vacuum energy will flow into your created needs. As all matter is energy all that differentiates wood from stone, joy from pain, is a vibration rate; and that is what you learn as a magician to control.

Think about the great minds of yore; Socrates, Plato, Newton, Wren, Descartes etc. What made them great? Their driven desire to understand the cosmos and their place in it brought about revolutions in thought and action, they were occultists of renown; each adding one more piece of wisdom to the pool of human experience.

Yet they are not unique, for every one of us has the same potential to investigate, discuss, theorise and deduce. It only takes a second to turn your life magical, to begin the journey of discovery. You wont find it in a book, though they provide good reference, but you will find it in your heart.

People ask me how do they deal with the forthcoming shift in humanity; the answer is to rise above the mundane in a journey of exploration of Self. To understand the billions of little self determined cells that make you who you are, to explore the limits of what you can do, to test yourselves upon the anvil of self sacrifice and from it find wisdom.

Put down the books and games, engage in conversation and start by giving just one hour a day to truly trying to understand who and what you are.

  1. Change requires Action, Action requires Intent, and Intent brings about Change. Positive or negative actions and intentions will inspire the corresponding form of change, so we have no one to blame but ourselves! So spending time exploring our hidden motivations seems like time well spent...
